To make the front of the car look better, I would spray paint that bar just behind the license plate, to match the rest of the car. It would make the grill look smaller and better.
I love this model...First car was a Toyota Yaris sedan 2008, which went to Boston, I fell in love with this car, miraculously she was in Russia and I fell in love with her at first sight. it is a Pity that they do not deliver to Russia, I think the demand would be huge... Thanks for the review - sat, dream....
At 22:50, the info about the engine is not correct - the 1.5L in this car is Mazda's 1.5 SkyActiv, which shares NOTHING with the old Toyota 1.5 in the Yaris hatch / old sedan. It's direct injected, and operates at 12:1 compression ratio. The compression is lowered from the typical 14:1 or 13:1 in other parts of the world, to 1) enable it run on regular fuel, and 2) probably for marketing reasons - match the Yaris hatchback's output. This is why it gets significantly better fuel mileage than the hatchback.
Rose Monroe No problem. After driving it myself, I'd highly recommend it, IF you catch a good deal. The SkyActiv tech is more advanced than just about anything in this class. Fuel economy, especially hwy, is the best non-hybrid you can get. Not going to lie, it's no powerhouse, but neither are others in this class. Test drive one!
Very interesting ! I thought - considering the hp and torque - that it is Toyota engine 1.5l which has been on service for 20 years ... since 2001 Echo till present Direct injection should definitely get better mpg however it must be noisier and the 'Mazda 2' sedan is probably heavier than the hatches . 2006 - 2011 manual 4 doors hatch is 1,030 kg. So in the end the mpg should be very close - I assume -
Does it have a trip computer ? To show the average mpg / instant mpg and autonomy ? Yaris 2006+ never had that for the N. America models but they DID have those for European market . Surprisingly the N. American YARISes were made in Japan and European market ones in Vallencienes, France . France cars had more electronics than Japanese ones :)) Mes amitiees d'Alberta !
The Mazda2 project was not cancelled, the sell the Mazda2 in Mexico (also make the car here, as well as the Yaris/iA), some countries get a Mazda2 sedan, Mexico and Europe only gets the hatchback, also the Mazda2 GT availabe in many countries has pretty much the exact same interior as the CX-3. In Mexico it was such a success that there are waiting lists to buy it!...btw, I know the car is not yours but it isn't a good idea to redline the engine when it is cold...
Thanks for the tip! Usually the car are at normal temperature since there is not even 1h time between the video and the fact that we rolled to our garage studio. thanks once again for your cool comments!
Excellent video, very in depth look at a yaris sedan. If you are considering to buy a yaris sedan this video will help you get a good look at it. Nicely put together video Car Question.
nice car. I think mazda makes a reliable car. the only thing I don't like about new cars is the warranty. I think 60,000 on a powertrain is insulting. I think Mitsubishi and Hyundai/kia got I right with 100k. The lancer with its 2 liter 5 speed combo is on my shot list. this yaris is as well. but the lancer is reliable as well and I like the 100k warranty.
Mine needed a new transmission at 40k person before me probably drove it harder? I now have 90k and nothing other than one wheel bearing. I still love the car
Is it my imagination, on the Toyota Canada website, the torque for the 2018 Yaris Sedan went up to 139 Ib ft of torque! The American Yaris sedan is still at 103 Ib ft of torque. When did this changed? That means the Canadian model is a better deal!
+Yared Mamo the window is shaped like this: /_| the bottom of the door is shaped like this: \_| thee window doesn't fit all the way down into the door. another cause might also be for child safety.
Excelente question! let me check that for you! because those mats dont seem to be in the accessories of Toyota. give me time and i'll get you an answer.
Toyota puts it through their reliability tests before agreeing to put it on their fleet. Regardless of that Mazda has been one of the most reliable brands in the last 5 years.
Without a doubt, one of the best car reviews ever! Merci mon ami!
+Fred De Benedetti bienvenu! Si tu as des suggestions n'hésite pas à nous écrire! :) Thanks again!

Love it! Thanks for the time you took to shoot the video.

I'm wondering how are they holding up now.
I've got a 19 yaris le, 87k miles so far, and no major problems yet, holding up great!

+Caokie Moo keep is informed on how you like it over Time :)
+CarQuestion Okay. I don't see Yaris Sedan 2016 in stock yet here in U.S.
+Caokie Moo check it under the name of scion IA
Why would this have the reliability of a Toyota if it's NOT made by Toyota, but by Mazda?
cause it's toyota approved! and they sure didnt want to affect their reliability survey with that partnership.
Toyota puts it through their reliability tests before agreeing to put it on their fleet. Regardless of that Mazda has been one of the most reliable brands in the last 5 years.
watching this videos makes me wanna buy a supra 😂
1993!!!!
+CarQuestion yessss !
